Post pregnany workoutFirst I want to say congratulations on your new baby boy or girl! After nine months of eating for two and carrying around a watermelon in your stomach, you are finally ready to get back to looking like you did before the pregnancy, but how? With the added stress of having a newborn in the house and making up lost ground at the gym, it can be pretty overwhelming. Here are a couple of tips to get on the road to getting back to your pre-pregnancy weight.

Prioritize: With the baby keeping you up all night and a million little things to do during the day, it’s hard to find time to go to the gym. I’m here to tell you, that for your well being physically and emotionally, it’s absolutely necessary to take at least an hour for yourself to clear your head. At the beginning of the week, stake out hour increments sometime during the week where you go and workout. Find someone else to take baby duty during those times and come to Future Fitness to relieve your stress. Start as soon as possible. So find a friend, grandparent or your husband to take baby duty for those times and then you’re off!

Cardio: One of the best ways to take off the baby weight is through a lot of cardio exercises like running, Zumba, Pilates, swimming and even Yoga. These exercises are surefire ways to start slimming you down in no time. It will also help produce more endorphins in your system so when you return home you’ll feel better and more refreshed and ready to change those diapers.

It’s easy to let your newborn take over your life, and it is important that you take good care of your child, however it benefits all parties for you to take time and go to the gym and exercise. Just because life is becoming hectic doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice all personal health and time, it just means you have to reschedule it.
